Sussex House

Tomaso Schumacher, pastry chef in Brighton Sussex House is what Tomaso Schumacher (1864-1934) called his home in Poschiavo, because it was in Brighton in Sussex, that he lived and ran a pastry shop for years. After life as an emigrant he returned to the valley, but the link with England remained and six of his seven children chose it as their home.
